The Pimlott Foundation is delighted to be involved with two major fundraising initiatives this summer.

The first is run by Beans means Brains (reg charity no 1109945) to raise much needed funds to enable the children at the Buhumba School in Uganda, Africa, to have an effective and nutritional learning experience.

Together with three teachers from Ipswich, Daniela travelled to Uganda myself at the beginning of this year and visited the Buhumba Primary and Secondary Schools. It was a very humbling experience to witness the extent of the poverty on one hand and the enthusiasm and dedication on the other hand.

Daniela has become personally involved in the Buhumba Lunch Project and hopes you will all help her in supporting this wonderful cause by coming to our event on Sunday July 4th. The concert will feature songs by French, Catalan and Spanish composers (Berlioz, Rodrigo and Mompou), as well as some of the very talented young Pimlott Foundation Singers who will perform a selection of songs from West End Shows.

There will also be a BBQ, Auction and Presentation on the Buhumba project. Tickets are priced a very low £15.00 each (under 18's free) which include a welcome drink and the BBQ!

Please contact daniela@pimlottfoundation.org or on 01206 271 291 to reserve your tickets. The second event is a fundraising concert on Saturday July 17th in aid of the African Grandmothers United (part of the African Solutions for African Problems – ASAP – charity, reg charity no 1011293).

This event is kindly being organised and hosted by Country Roses of Little Horkesley. The rose growing company is inviting you to the inauguration of their conservatory at The Glasshouse, Josselyns Farm, Water Lane, Little Horkesley, Colchester CO6 4DG, which will seat approx 150 people.

Danae Brooks, who owns Country Roses, is very involved with the African Grandmothers United project, and as Danae is a friend and loyal Pimlott Foundation supporter, we are delighted to support this event.

The programme for the 17th July will feature Mozart’s Piano Quartet KV 429 in E flat Major, Mozart’s Concert Aria KV 505 Ch’io mi scordi di te, and Beethoven’s Serenade for Strings Trio Op 8 in D Major. The performers will include Kathryn Parry - Violin, Hayley Chisnall - Viola, Natasha Holmes - Cello, Daniel Law - Piano and Daniela Bechly - Soprano. An appearance by Tallulah Rendall is also planned, as well as a BBQ, drinks and much more.

You may reserve your place at The Glasshouse Concert by phoning 01206 273 565 or email to enquiries@countryroses.co.uk. Tickets are priced £25.00 each; concessions apply.
